I am interested in textile since my youth. I soon learned to sew on treadle sewing machine and also I was very familiar with other handmade textile techniques very soon. Sewing is one of my favorites activities. Besides my job I graduated at The School of Art and Craft institute and then I was keen on textile art. I've also taught many textile techniques in various courses. At the turn of the millennium I learned about patchwork. I started to devote to patchwork very intensively, I looked for information, attanded patchwork classes and foreign exhibitions. From the classic quilts I soon switched to create contemporary art quilts. I was actively involved in organizing patchwork events, especially in Bohemia patchwork Club and Art quilt Club, co-organizing international exhibition of Prague Patchwork Meeting and other international projects and exhibitions. I am a member of the SAQA.
I use hand-dyed fabric for creating most of my quilts. Most of these materials are inspiring for me. I always try new ways of processing the surface of quilts. I am very excited by machine or hand quilting which adds a new dimension to the flat tank top. I am participating in national and international competitions. I prepared a collection of 24 contemporary quilts for the 19th Carrefour Européen du Patchwork in 2013 in France. The motto of the collection is "BRIDGES". In this theme I attempted to work with various techniques with which I like to work.
